This week we had 17 juniors, some of whom benefited from a visit by Douglas Stewart, the golf professional at Meadowfield Driving Range. He came for 2 hours, and took two lots of 3 for an hour each lot. He will be returning next Monday evening, 29th June, to take another 6. Those who have missed out this year will be first to be considered next year
As the school holidays start next week, Monday 29th will be the last Monday evening session for juniors. Instead we will be running a fun competition each Thursday morning at 10am for two and a half hours, starting Thurs 9th July. This will be open to all junior members and as such there will be no charge on the day. Obviously we will have different juniors on different weeks, depending on when they are not away on holiday; but we hope to run an accumulative competition building on the scores from each week. Hopefully we will have some adults to join in and help. All junior members will be welcome.
Aileen Scott Aiton played 18 holes with Angus Dun on Saturday to get a handicap for him, so that he can play in the Border Junior Tournament at Minto on 5th July. He now has a handicap of 29. Good luck to to Angus at Minto.
