Junior Championship Report
All junior members of 14 and over were given the opportunity to play for the junior club championship trophy, kindly donated by What’s On Scotland last year. Five members opted to play – Hamish Weir went out with Murray Bell, and Angus Dun with Angus Weir – Aron Gunn was unable to play that day so played his round later. Hamish Weir recorded a scratch score of 53 for 9 holes and so won the championship. Angus Dun was runner-up on 55.
We had tried to run a league over the summer holidays to determine a champion, but this had proved difficult, with everyone having holidays at different times, so we changed to a one-off format, which proved easier to fulfil.
